Toronto, ON – Pointstreak Sports Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of CREZ Basketball Systems Inc., an electronic scoring, video indexing and diagramming system designed for the sport of basketball.  The application was developed by David Clausi, a professor at the University of Waterloo, and has been operating in the basketball market for years. 
 
Scott Secord, Pointstreak’s President/CEO commented, "We are extremely pleased to be adding the functionality of the CREZ basketball system to our existing sports platforms.  CREZ’s suite of scoring, video indexing and diagramming solutions offers state of the art technology to any basketball organization.  This acquisition will provide the foundation for a more complete basketball solution that will yield the same level of success Pointstreak has achieved with the launch of our baseball platform in 2009.”
 
Pointstreak has assumed all business activities of CREZ and will begin immediately with the development of a more refined and complete application providing not only a front-end scoring application but the complete line of Pointstreak related technologies including statistical databasing, real-time delivery, team/league administrative tools, online registration and payment processing as well as the integration of our web-based content management system and video indexing platforms.  Pointstreak expects to have a fully functioning application available to basketball teams, leagues and associations by September 2011.

CREZ rep Ron Daniels had the priviledge to chat with Gary Doyle from 570 News at the Tech Leadership Conference hosted by Communitech at Bingeman's Park last week.

At the Tech Leadership Conference several successful technology based business leaders spoke about the key elements that they felt have led them in creating successful businesses. CREZ was one of the local tech business who were asked to set up a booth and exhibit their product to those that attended.

Gary ran into Ron while he was there and wanted to learn more about CREZ Basketball Systems Inc. and the products we offer.

The CREZ Basketball Team is set to release a series of informative 'How To' videos in order to keep CREZ users up to date with new features and to help new users make their way around the CREZ system.

The 'How To' videos will cover all aspects inside the CREZcomplete program and will be broken down into categories of statistics, scouting and video.

For the next 4 weeks you can look forward to the release of 4-6 videos each week covering various aspects of the program from how to create teams and games, how to create custom templates inside CREZplaymaker, how to enter video and how to cut up game film.

The CREZ Basketball Team

The CREZ Team will be attending this years BCAM Coaches Clinic from October 2nd to 4th. This years clinic will take place at the Causeway Bay Hotel and Convention Center in Lansing, Michigan.

The BCAM Clinic is recognized as one of the best coaching clinics in the Midwest. This years clinic will be visited by 800-1000 coaches in the Midwest including speeches by many high level NCAA Div I coaches including John Beilein, Keno Davis, Matt Painter, Bob Huggins, Mike Anderson and many more!
